"Across the Moon"

Catch a star that shoots through the firmament
and grab its blinding tail as it spins
into the galaxy where mystery lies.
Behind the sun the universe quivers
and slowly melts into the rhapsody
of the expanding void's crystal clarity.
Across the Moon, far from the toiling crowd
that repeats, its insignificant sounds
through the night, as we dance thru the spectral light.
Into the realm, of reawakening dreams
we regress, to avert the confusion
of our lives, so we stargaze with each moon rise.
Becharm the sands from sifting through moments
and scatter the grains 'cross the twilight sky
to shimmer a path towards our destiny.
Pursue the nova through spiraling clouds
and rein its liquid radiance unto thee
so we may bathe in luminosity.
And we will ride, towards the slumbering sun
in the sky, who slips past yesterday's canvas
of the truth, beneath tomorrow's gentle soothe.

A midnight dance calls from the dark,
and you turn around, turn around,
to find...
a demon swaying to the song,
and you turn around, turn around,
to find...
his ghostly fingers round your waist,
as he twirls you in peculiar ways.
Your head is swimming with the tune,
as you turn around, lost within, the sound.
A shadow lying far below,
and you turn around, turn around,
to find...
a lock of hair you, recognize,
and you turn around, turn around,
to find...
your image fading in the breeze,
as the demons gather round the feast.
You scream into the atmosphere,
as you turn around, lost within, the sound.
On painted ponies in the night,
you turn around, turn around,
to find...
an apparition, softly cries
and you turn around, turn around,
to find...
her blazing eyes begin to melt,
as they drip into her hands of guilt.
She reaches for your shrieking throat,
as you turn around, lost within, the sound.
A sky of dancing demons twirl,
and you turn around, turn around,
to find...
you're waltzing right along with them,
and you turn around, turn around,
to find...
his ghostly fingers round your waist,
as he twirls you in peculiar ways.
